My Nana and Papa came to visit me again this week and, as you all know, I love my books and I'm always asking people to read them to me.
At the moment, one of my favourite books is called 'The Little Train' and after my Nana read it to me she said to my Papa that maybe I'd like to go on a real train ride.
The next morning, we walked to the local train station and we watched as some trains came passed.
Some of them whooshed past really fast and they were just a blur!
Some others stopped in the other side of the train station. I looked as the people got on and off them.
Then my Nana told me that it was our turn to go on a train.
I saw one slowing down and stopping just where we were standing.
We pressed a button on one of the doors and went inside and sat down on one of the seats.
Nana and Papa and me looked out of the window and watched everything go by really quickly.
Sometimes we stopped at a station and people got on and off.
Nana told me that it would soon be our turn to get off the train.
I was loving the train journey, but I wondered where we were going to.
Nana told me that we were going to somewhere in the centre of Manchester.
Soon it was our station and we got off the train and walked to a big building.
It was Manchester Art Gallery and I remembered being there before with my Mummy and Daddy and my Grandad.
It's a really big place with lots of different rooms with interesting things to look at but I also knew there was one room full of great things for children to play with. I thought of a way to get my Nana to take me there.
I waited until she was sitting down having a rest and I sneaked past her.
I ran to the end of the room.
I turned the corner and ran as quickly as I could into a new room.
I was giggling as I ran, because I knew that my Nana would start to chase me - she always does!
I didn't even need to turn around.
I just kept on running, knowing that she was following on behind me.
It was great fun!
I saw the room that I was looking for, so I just kept going as fast as I could
Then... we were there in the Interactive Gallery.
There were lots of children in there running around having fun, but I just stopped for a minute to look at this mirrored area.
It was fascinating.
Then something caught my eye that I hadn't seen before.
I was a glass case full of statue people standing about. I really liked how the man statue was standing with his hands behind his back. Can you see his pose in the picture here?
I looked closely and I liked it so much that I thought I'd give it a go, too. My Papa was watching me copying him and he realised what I was doing. He laughed and told my Nana and she took this picture of me with her phone so that she could share it with all her friends on Facebook :-)
I had a great first train ride day out! Thanks Nana and Papa :-)
