Last weekend my mummy whispered to me that something special was going to happen.
She said that it was a lovely surprise and that I would be very happy.
I was very excited and wanted to know more, but she told me that I would just need to be patient.
I love surprises, but I begged her to tell me some more ..... the suspense was too much!!
She said she would give me some clues....
She told me that some people were coming to visit and that I would have a lovely time with them.
I wanted to know who was coming, but she told me I would find out soon.
Then I heard the doorbell ringing and my daddy went to answer it.
Guess who had come for a visit!
I hadn't seen them since Christmas, and I was soooo happy :-)
It was my Nana and Papa! They'd come all the way from Scotland on a train just to see me.
They told me that It was my Nana's very special birthday and she said she'd wanted to spend it with me.
As soon as I saw them, I gave them one of my big smiles that I've been learning how to do.
I wasn't able to do that the last time they saw me and it made them very happy.
We had a lovely few moments cuddling each other.
I even showed them how I've been learning to make some happy baby noises, too.
They said they just loved my smiles, and when I was sitting on my Papa's knee, my Nana asked me if they could take some pictures of me smiling.
They wanted to show them to all my aunties and uncles up in Scotland.
I told her that I would be happy to do just that and we had a lovely day smiling and laughing together.
My Papa never goes anywhere without his camera and I had a lovely time posing for all the pictures.
There were so many taken, but I loved it because I knew how happy it would make everyone....and smiling is so great. It seems like whenever I do it, everyone else wants to join in!
There are just too many pictures to put on here, so my Nana helped me to choose some to put in to a little slideshow. Have a look....what do you think? Does looking at them make you want to smile, too?
All too soon it was time for my Nana and Papa to go back up to Scotland on the train.
I was quite upset and I wanted them to stay.
My Nana and Papa were upset, too, and they told me they were really going to miss all my smiles.
My daddy told us not to worry too much because he knew we'll all be seeing each other again soon.
He told us that my mummy and him are planning a trip to Scotland very soon - and that there would be a special surprise for me when I got there.
I can't wait to find out what it is!
He also promised my Nana and Papa that he would keep on sending photos of me to them every single day so that they can watch me grow and learn new things.
That made my Nana and Papa feel a lot better because they said they don't want to miss any of my growing up.
I'm certainly doing a whole lot of that recently ... look and the pocture my mummy took of me amusing myself when we waited in the Bank queue this week!
I wonder what I'll learn to to next week.
Keep an eye on my blog to find out!!
Speak to you all soon :-)
