Exciting Times Ahead
I've not been on any new travels recently but it's nice just relaxing at home.
I'm good at relaxing!
After I've had one of my many dinners, and I've had fun with my mummy and daddy, I like nothing better than to have nice relaxing nap on someone's knee.
I love relaxing at other times as well. For example, if I'm out in my pram, I love to have what my daddy calls '40 winks'.
The picture on the left shows me doing just that .... but after a wee while, I'm just what my papa call 'zonked'!
When my mummy or daddy bring me home and lift me out of my pram, it can take me a while to come round.
When I'm in one of my deep sleeps, I usually dream about all the nice things that have happened in my nine weeks here.
I dream about my travels to visit my nana and papa in Scotland and my grandma in Brighton.
I have lovely memories of those times....and when I wake up, I remember that they're not here in Manchester.
Sometimes this can make me feel sad. My mummy and daddy tell me that they're missing me, too, and that we'll meet up lots of times again soon.
Yesterday I felt particularly sad - my daddy saw how sad I was feeling and took this picture of me.
My bottom lip was trembling....I just couldn't help it :-(
My daddy wanted to cheer me up, so he brought out a special outfit that I've never seen before. It was different from all the other clothes I have. It was bright red and all fluffy and cozy. He told me that something special was going to happen next week.
There's going to be a special holiday time called Christmas. I listened really closely as he told me that we were going on another trip soon and that this would be the best one yet.
We're going to Scotland again for a whole week and I'll get to see my Nana, my Papa, Uncle Brian, Uncle Graeme, Auntie Lyndsay and lots more of my daddy's relatives.
....But guess what!! My Grandma Phil from Brighton is going to be there, too.....And when we're there we'll also get to see my Grandad Humphrey....And my great aunt Harriot (I've never met her before - this is sooo exciting!)
My daddy told me that there's only 5 more big night time sleeps to go until we drive there. My mummy said that there might be lots of other surprises called presents waiting for me when I get there, too :-)
I don't know what this Christmas holiday thing is about - but I'm really glad that it happens.
I can't wait to see all my mummy and daddy's family again soon.
I'm not going to wake up sad anymore because my dreams will be filled with nice thoughts about my new trip to Scotland.
I'm off for another of my sleeps now - when I wake up, I'll cross another 'sleep before Scotland' off my list.
The next post I write might be after we arrive - I can't wait !!!
