Cameras and Memories
Well - I'm back home in Manchester after my visit to my Nana and Papa's house in Scotland!
It's nice to be home, but I have lovely memories of my trip.
It was great to see lots of my Mummy and Daddy's relatives when I was there.
It was a very busy time - every day was just great (and there were lots of cuddles for me!).
Most of the time I stayed at my Nana and Papa's house, but I went on some trips, too, when I was there. One day, I went on a train to a place called Edinburgh. My mummy and Daddy took me there so that I could meet up with my Grandad and my Great Aunt Heidi.
I'd seen them at both at my Nana and Papa's house the day before, but it was just great to have another chance to catch up with them.
It was quite cold that day, so my Mummy and Daddy wrapped me up in my cosy outdoor suit and off we went.
We were meeting them for lunch and while we waited for them, my Mummy took a picture of me and my Daddy wearing our hats to keep out the cold.
Have a look at our hats in the picture here (they're not matching like the shirts my Papa and me wore on Christmas day, but maybe next time!)
When I was in Scotland, I got very used to everyone taking pictures of me with their cameras. People were always saying to me to 'smile at the camera' and 'look this way'.
Cameras are funny black things that flash very bright lights in my eyes.
I never really understood why grown-ups were using them, but when we were in Edinburgh, my Mummy and Daddy showed me my Great Aunt Heidi's camera and explained how they worked.
I was fascinated. I suddenly undersood why my Papa, my Uncle Brian, my Grandad, my Great Aunt Heidi...and my Mummy and Daddy (and every other grown-up I seem to meet!) want to use one.
It means that we'll have memories of all the nice times - like when my Nana first taught me to say 'Hello' and when my Papa wanted to take a picture of my wee hand on his hand :-)
These are nice memories. Maybe the flashing lights of the cameras are worth it.
I hear my Nana and Papa are coming to visit me in Manchester in a few weeks time.
I hope they bring their cameras....I'll try not to blink too much!!
