It's Been A While!

Hello again everyone!

I'm sorry it's been so long since the last time I wrote a blog post. Life has been so busy that I just couldn't find the time. Anyway - here I am with all our news.

There's so much to tell you, that I've decided to break this blog post into four parts: Christmas 2015; New Year in Scotland; Theo's 2nd Birthday Celebration; Recent News.

  • Christmas 2016
Do you like our festive Christmas jumpers? Nana bought them for us.

We knew some exciting times were coming up because we were making decorations at nursery and there was even a Christmas party to go to.

Exciting things were happening at home as well, though.

Theo and I helped mummy and daddy to put up our Christmas tree.

It looked really beautiful and we all spent a long time just looking at it when we lit up all the pretty lights.

After the tree was up, there were lots of other things to organise.

For example, when we finished our Saturday Rugby Tots class, daddy said we needed to go shopping for some things so that we could have a really nice Christmas dinner.

We also needed some ingredients so that we could help mummy make our Christmas cookies.

Making them was so much fun, but we also had to be very careful when we were cutting out the shapes.

Theo and I listened as mummy told us what to do.

They turned out really well - sorry there's no picture (they didn't last long enough to take any!)

At last it was the day we'd been waiting for. Theo and I were so excited when we woke up and saw all the presents Santa had left for us. Daddy thought it would be a nice idea to share some of our excitement with Nana and Papa in Scotland. We sent this video to Nana so that she could tell Papa that we were thinking of them :-)

After all the excitement of opening the presents, it was time to make Christmas dinner.

Our Grandma and Grandad came to celebrate with us.

Theo loves everything to do with food, so he insisted on helping make some of it on our own little kitchen cooker.

I let him borrow my chef's outfit. He felt very at home in it - I think he might grow up to be one of those TV chefs.

Up in Scotland, my wee cousin Bella met the man himself!

Here's a picture of her on Santa's knee.

She looks like she was listening very carefully to what he had to say.

He must have visited her house as well, because she woke up to lots of presents!

My nana popped into her house on Christmas morning to help her open some of them.

I think she's going to love books just as much as me and Theo.

Uncle Brian popped in to visit her as well.

He bought her a really cute reindeer hat ... and it was a perfect match for the little booties she was wearing that morning :-).

It seems everyone in Scotland had as nice a Christmas as we did here in Manchester.

Soon it was time for my family to start packing for a trip to see them all.

  • New Year in Scotland
My family had a lovely time catching up with all our Scottish relatives - and what made even more special was that Santa had left presents for us all in Nana and Papa's house!

Theo was the first to notice that there were parcels lying around just like there had been on Christmas day in our own house.

We were very excited when we realised that some of the presents were for us!

We had such fun opening them to find out what was inside.

In fact, we had such fun during our whole visit there.

So much happened that it would take too long to tell you about it all.

Instead, I've included a video of just some of the highlights. Have a look!

Here's a final picture of Theo and I having lunch in our little house in Papa's back garden.

We'll be back in Scotland soon :-)

  •  Theo's 2nd Birthday Celebration
Theo is 2 years old now and he had a great party at our house to celebrate.

His friends from nursery all came join in the fun.

Some of them brought their big brothers and sisters along, which was great because I knew all of them from my nursery class.

Here's a picture of some of us enjoying snack time together.

Theo decided to have a quiet snack time in the hall with Nana.

Theo loves to be around his friends, but he enjoys some quiet time, too.

Here's a picture of him playing alongside one of his friends in our new playroom.

Theo and I just love it in there - there's so much to do!

It's great now that Theo is getting a bit older, because we spend lots of time playing together now. Here's a video of some of the fun times we've shared recently.

We even play at being Superheroes together.

here's a picture of us learning how to fly!

We haven't quite mastered the flying bit yet, but I'm getting quite good at some of the other attributes. My daddy recorded me being Iron Man!

Our cousin Bella wasn't at Theo's party, but uncle Graeme helped her to send a Happy Birthday message to him. Have a look. We'll see you soon, Bella :-)

  •  Recent News
I have one more exciting story to share with you.

Recently, it was my turn to have Barnaby Bear home from nursery.

Everybody gets a turn to take him on some adventures and then we take him back to nursery to share what he's been up to.

Theo and I were very excited, but we knew exactly where to take him the next day.

I packed him into my bag to keep him cosy and we set off down the road towards the tram stop.

When we got to our destination, we sat on some steps and waited for my daddy to come and meet us.

We were at daddy's work - and he works somewhere that we just knew Barnaby was going to have lots of very exciting adventures.

We were at the BBC building in Manchester where there are lots and lots of famous characters.

Daddy said that Theo and I had to wear special badges so that everyone in the building knew that we were allowed to be there.

Soon it was time to set off to introduce Barnaby to some of the famous characters.

Here we are meeting just a few of them - do you recognise anyone?

I'm off now to get organised for a very special trip I'm going on soon.

Guess what?

Theo and I are off on a trip to Scotland ... just the two of us!

We're going to stay at Nana and Papa's house and we'll be able to catch up with all our Scottish relatives while we're there.

We can't wait!

Here's a wee update on how our wee cousin Bella is doing.

We're looking forward to seeing her in person in a couple of weeks.

Bye everyone ... and watch this space for news of our Scottish adventures soon :-)
