Three Busy Weekends, Part 2: A Trip to the Zoo

For my next fun weekend, we headed out to Chester Zoo. I've been seeing a lot of animals in story books and I was excited to see what they looked like in real life. Come on, let's see!

Ooh, there were elephants, and monkeys, and flamingoes...

And you could take a high-up train to look down on more animals, and there were clever glass bits to see underwater otters and penguins....

And giraffes! I was very impressed with those.

Daddy said he'd get me a giraffe to take home. It turned out to be a balloon giraffe, which wasn't quite as cool as a real one, but it was still quite good for gently bopping people on the nose. Hee hee.
