A few weeks ago I was out for lunch with my mummy and daddy.
My mummy sat me down and told me that a very special time was coming.
She also told me that we had to be careful on hot summer days and that I would need to get used to wearing a sun hat to keep me safe.
We went out shopping and we chose this very stylish number.
Do you like it?
My daddy thinks I look very 'cool' in it :-)
Well, since then the weather has become very, very hot!
It's so hot that my mummy decided that my new cap wasn't giving me enough protection.
We went out shopping again and we bought this new one. It even keeps the back of my neck safe. I'm having so much fun enjoying the fun in the sun actually, that I don't even know I'm wearing it. All my friends have new hats as well (although we get to take them off when we're sitting in our cool summer baby tent - it's lovely and cool in there!).
When we're not in the tent, there's other great ways to help keep us cool, though.
Today, for example, I was visiting my friend Lauren and she let me sit in her paddling pool.
We splashed about and played with all her water toys.
It was almost as much fun as going to my puddle ducks class.
My daddy took this video of me getting used to an outdoor bathtime. Have a look.
Well, I'm really enjoying my taste of summer - and now that I'm getting used to it, I can't wait to go on my holidays to Spain.
My Nana and Papa and my Uncle Brian, Uncle Graeme and Auntie Lyndsay will be there, too.
Happy days :-)
