A Weekend in Scotland

Well, That was a very interesting weekend I've just had with my nana and papa and my Scottish aunties and uncles.
I'll tell you about some of the things we got up to in this post.

I'll begin by telling you about some of the music we played.

I love my music and I brought my little xylophone with me.

Everyone seemed very impressed when I played them a tune!

My papa thought I might like to hear some other sounds, though, and he let me listen to him playing the 'pot and spoon'.

I was very interested, and I couldn't wait to get a turn!

After that, my nana played some music for me by banging on her own nana's old dinner gong. I loved it :-)

My papa took this picture of me getting very excited about the sound.

Can you see my expression in the hall mirror?

My uncle Brian thought that he'd like to join in the fun.

He looked out his old keyboard and wiped off the dust before plugging it in.

I didn't know what to make of it at first.

I played about with it on my own for a while.

It took me a while, but I soon got the hang of it.

I figured out how the keys worked and what happened if I pressed all the buttons.

It was really cool!

I decided to just go for it.

I had a blast!

Can you tell from the picture my papa took?

... my hands are just a blur :-)

All that excitement wore me out and I went for a little nap.

When I woke up I noticed some strange bubbly things floating past me.

I'd never seen so many bubbles and I was confused at first.

I started to enjoy it, though.

My nana was making them happen.

She kept on blowing them out of a little tub thing.

I really wanted to catch one and I tried and tried!!

 I had no luck, though.

I was very disappointed and I couldn't help showing it.

Look at the expression on my face here.

It's just not fair - I really wanted to catch one.

Have I mentioned mealtimes, yet?

They were fun!

I love my food, but I'm not sure my nana and papa liked the fact that I need to feed myself.

It was a battle trying to grab the spoon from them.

Ok - I know I'm not an expert at it yet.

Things do tend to get a wee bit messy.

Being this messy doesn't really bother me, but nana and papa insisted on giving me a good scrubbing.

Bathtimes are fun ... once the boring scrubbing bits are over.

Hurry up and get the washing bit over with papa ... I just want to play with my new toy boat!

I really loved my visit to Scotland and I can't wait to see all my Scottish relatives again.

I'll be seeing them all in a couple of weeks, though, when they come to visit me in my new house in Manchester.

There's something else happening when they come, too - something really exciting.

I'll tell you all about it next time :-)

Meanwhile, I'll just finish off with a message for someone who's worried that I don't smile enough when he's around.

I really do love you uncle Graeme XXX
